Friday March 26 saw the arrival of the Royal Australian Air Forces first 5 F/A-18F Super Hornets, a total of 24 have been purchased to replace the ageing  F-111s in service.  Based at RAAF Amberley in Queensland they are Australias first combat aircraft in 25 years.
